About this Trump phenomenon. I'm a little confused. When the American people protest, aren't they supposed to protest against the establishment? Isn't that rule number 1? In The Wild One, when the girl asked Marlon Brando what he was rebelling against, he said, "what ya got?", he was referring to any and all of the establishment ideals of the day. If it was establishment based, he and his biker gang was against it. To them, establishment meant limiting their freedoms to drink towns dry, make a lot of noise, accost young ladies, and piss off the old farts that ran the town.
Today, protesters fight for the right to maintain the establishment we've had for eight years that is endorsed by both major political parties and every alphabet organization our government has. I never heard of a political protest in favor of maintaining the status quo. I mean, aren't protests supposed to be in favor of changing a system that no longer works for the people?
Since the vast majority of protesters aren't interested in a Trump replacement, I'm led to believe the protesters are primarily anarchists, in favor of a government free of government. Now, THAT'S something I can get behind. But until that time comes, let's let Trump undo all the socialist crap Obama instituted for the last eight years before we try to rule ourselves.
If protesters can demonstrate how they can feed themselves as well as burn down supermarkets, I might give them some credit.
Anarchy is more than breaking Starbuck's windows.
